More than 500 participants participated in BAQ 2010 from more than 35 countries worldwide, with one-third coming from outside Asia. Most participants came from CAI-Asia’s country networks in China, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. Key government and local government officials as well as representatives from academe, NGOs, development agencies, and private sector also participated.

Criteria for Sponsorship

1. Citizens of one of the countries in developing Asia. (Singapore; Macau SAR; Hong Kong SAR; Taipei,China; Japan; and South Korea are generally excluded from sponsorship by the BAQ 2010 organizing committee)
2. Representative of local or national government agency, civil society organization, academe, or media (private sector representatives are generally excluded)
3. Priority will be given to persons with an accepted abstract for oral or poster presentation
4. Persons who are willing to accept a partial sponsorship will also receive priority
